The Meetings Industry Association (mia) has three unmissable events lined up next month (May) to help increase business performance.
Kicking off with ‘Managing your 'space' more profitably’on 9 May at Whittlebury Hall, Northamptonshire, this session will demystify and reveal how implementing a revenue management culture can have such a positive effect on the bottom line. Led by experienced consultant Jo Woods, who has over 30 years’ experience working in the sector, the interactive workshop will include lots of exercises and conclude with a competitive business game. Delegates will learn the tools to capture and understand demand, booking trends, market segments, the business mix and their competitors, to develop a more strategic selling strategy to increase revenue per occupied space.
Mid-month Frank Orman, founder of specialist London agency LeadGeneratorsDigital, will be discussing ‘How to leverage SEO in a content marketing world’ at the mia’s latest Business Breakfast meeting on 14 May. Attendees will discover during the one-hour session at London’s Congress Centre, that while content marketing is now responsible for creating greater exposure opportunities and delivering ever-growing traffic numbers, SEO is still crucial for generating greater site conversion metrics and more sales from your website.
Concluding the month on 22 May, Mark McCulloch, founder and group chief executive of WE ARE Spectacular will provide the lowdown on how the social media landscape is changing in his ‘Market like it’s 2018; Nuke everything and start again’ seminar. Mark will share insight on what is on the social media horizon, which platforms the industry should be focusing its effort on and why organisations should shift marketing spend from some of the more less effective channels.
